Use Our Vetted Community Videos

Before uploading your own footage, check out our collection of vetted, high-quality videos from the Yapper community. These are tested to work well with our AI and give you the best results—no need to start from scratch. Just make sure you're using these videos in accordance with our terms.

Uploading Video: Do This, Not That

First it's important to note that lip syncing technology is new and still not perfect, so the source video needs to be high quality. Getting exactly what you want might take a few attempt. Trying a few source videos with the same script will give you better idea of what source videos work best.

If you’re uploading your own footage for lip-sync, keep these best practices in mind. Also remember that any uploaded video need to also follow our terms of service.

✅ DOs

• ~15 seconds of clear, single-speaker audio
• Mouth is fully visible, not obstructed
• Minimal background noise
• Speaker is still and facing the camera
• Consistent lighting

❌ DON'Ts

• Cuts, edits, or jump cuts in the footage
• Fast head or body movement
• Hair, hands, or objects covering the mouth
• Background noise like music or chatter
• Drastic lighting changes or filters

Writing a Great Script

Yapper works best when your input script is:

• Write your script first, then pick the character—it’s easier to match tone and style.
• Conversational – Write the speaker talks in the video.
• Short and snappy – Aim for under 30 seconds for best results.
• Well-paced – Use punctuation (commas, periods) to control pacing.
• Safe and respectful – Avoid offensive or misleading content.

Not Getting the Output You Want?
